Unknown tokens appeared in my Finchb wallet
In short
- Anyone can send any token to any Solana address, so tokens you never bought can show up.
- Finchb puts tokens it can’t verify under Other tokens, marks them Unverified and counts them as no value.
- Leave them alone: don’t open links in their names and don’t try to sell them on sites they point to.
Where Finchb shows them
On the start screen, under Assets, a closed section Other tokens lists them, with Show and Hide. Each one carries the tag Unverified and its token address. They don’t count towards your total.
If you choose one to send, Finchb warns: “This token is not verified and has no price. Anyone can create a token with any name: check the address before you send.”
Why they come
- Advertising or bait: the name often holds a website or “claim your reward”. Those sites try to get your words or your approval.
- Look-alikes: a token can call itself USDC or any other name. Finchb shows the verified USDC separately, with its price.
- Leftovers: a real token you once received that isn’t on the verified list.
Never enter your 12 words or private key on a site a token points to. Finchb never sends tokens to make you claim anything.
