Lost your 12 words or your authenticator? How to get back in

By Finchb SupportUpdated 2 min read

In short

  • Still logged in? Open Security → View my 12 words and write them down now.
  • Logged out: your email and password, or Telegram if it is linked, still open the account.
  • Without the words, a password or a linked Telegram there is no way back. Nobody can restore a wallet without them.

None of theseThen there is no way backFinchb can’t open a wallet without its words.

A wallet you imported from a private key has no 12 words. Keep its private key instead: Settings → Export private key. How

You lost your authenticator (2FA)

Two-factor sign-in has no backup codes, and a password reset leaves it on. What still works:

  • Your Telegram is linked: open Finchb in Telegram, or tap Log in with Telegram on the website. Telegram opens the account without the code, and Finchb emails you about the sign-in.
  • You still have your 12 words: they open the same wallet in Phantom or Solflare, so your money stays within reach. How
  • Neither: then the account can no longer be opened. Two-factor sign-in has no way around it, also not through support. That is what keeps it safe, and why a second way in matters.

Once you are back in, set up the authenticator again on your new phone.

Set up a second way in today

  1. Write your 12 words on paper and keep them somewhere safe. Never as a screenshot or in a chat.
  2. Add an email and a password under Security.
  3. Link your Telegram under Settings → Telegram.

Anyone with your 12 words or your private key can take your money. Finchb will never ask you for them, not even support.
