Sent crypto on the wrong network? What can and can’t be done

In short

  • Finchb’s Send refuses addresses of other networks, so a transfer from Finchb can’t go to a TRON, TON or 0x address by mistake.
  • Mistakes usually happen at an exchange: a network picked there that the other side doesn’t support. Only that exchange can look into it.
  • Transfers on Solana are final. Nobody can pull them back, and anyone who charges you to “recover” them is a scammer.

You sent from Finchb, and the exchange doesn’t credit it

This happens when the exchange doesn’t support that token on Solana, or when the address was meant for another coin. The money arrived at the exchange’s address, so only the exchange can credit or return it. Each one has a page for it:

What the exchange will ask for

  • The transaction link: in Finchb tap the transfer in your history, and copy the address of the page that opens. How to find it
  • The address you sent to, the token (SOL or USDC), the amount and the time.
  • The network: Solana.

You sent to your Finchb address from another network

Most exchanges and wallets check the address against the network and stop the transfer before it leaves. If one went out anyway, it never reached Finchb: it sits on the other network. Ask the exchange or wallet you sent from, with its transaction ID.

What Finchb can and can’t do

Finchb can’t reverse a transfer on Solana, and nobody else can either. What our support can do: find the transfer with you and tell you exactly what to send the exchange.

Beware of “recovery” offers. People who reply to posts about lost crypto, offer to get it back for a fee or ask for your 12 words are scammers. Finchb never asks for your words or for money to help you.
